LA VISITA (2021)

For his internship, Mees Vervuurt has worked on ‘La Visita’ by Peeping Tom on the sound design and music together with Raphaëlle Latini in Brussels (BE) and performed in Reggio Emilia (IT).

In LA VISITA, the museum has been closed for a long time or is about to close. What happens to the works of art without the gaze of the spectator? The only witnesses left behind are the museum workers and the works of art themselves, sometimes silent, sometimes not. We hear their comments and laments and all of this plunges us into a new space, where artworks become new traces of life. La Visita explores the blurring boundaries of what is real and what is fictitious, what is art and what is everyday life.

Earlier this year, LA VISITA already won the Fedora Platform Van Cleef & Arpels Prize for Ballet 2021.
